1. What Voice Review Recorder does

Voice Review Recorder offers a voluntary way to share spoken or written feedback on posts, pages and products. You can submit a written review without turning on your microphone. This notice explains the information handled by this feature and should be read alongside the hosting website's full privacy policy.

2. Information collected

When submitting a review, you provide a star rating, an email address used privately for moderation and privacy requests, and an optional public display name. You may also submit a voice recording and its written transcript. The plugin keeps the related page or product ID, optional account ID, consent timestamp, creation time, moderation status, optional detected language and indicative tone information (when the paid extensions are installed).

3. Recording consent and microphone access

We do not begin recording without your active choice. You must accept the recording notice and then grant microphone permission in your browser. You can stop, listen, discard and try again before submitting. Recording-consent laws differ by location: avoid recording other people without their permission. Do not include passwords, financial numbers, sensitive medical information, or copyrighted background music.

4. Public sharing and moderation

Every submission waits for human approval. Lite moderators can approve or reject using the written transcript and rating, but cannot listen to submitted recordings privately. Pro and Business site moderators can listen privately in a protected back office before making a decision. Pro and Business visitors can choose voice-only, written-comment-only, or both when these options are enabled by the site owner. Voice-only reviews need an accessible transcript added before publication. While pending or rejected, recordings and text are not publicly displayed by the plugin. When approved, your display name if supplied, star rating, written review and any retained audio may become publicly accessible to visitors. Your email address is not shown in the public review display. Public access means others may listen, quote or save recordings; removal from the originating site cannot undo copies retained by third parties.

5. Audio storage and security

The plugin stores audio encrypted within this WordPress website's database and serves it through a controlled playback route. Recordings are not placed as openly linked WordPress Media Library files. Audio encryption depends on the website's security salts and its OpenSSL support; changing salts without a data migration may make audio unreadable. The website owner is responsible for secure hosting, HTTPS, access controls, backup protection, and administrator security.

6. Optional external transcription and translation

Automatic transcription is optional. If the website owner configures an external service such as OpenAI's audio transcription API, it is used only when you separately agree to external processing. The audio is transmitted to that provider to generate written text. With the Business extension and a separately enabled translation service, review text may also be sent to the configured external provider for language translation after your consent. Additional provider terms, locations, privacy notices, retention, and fees may apply. You can submit a written review without using these external services.

7. Automatic labels and decisions

The Pro extension can display simple, approximate text-based sentiment cues to help moderators review feedback. These may be wrong and are not proof of someone's emotions, honesty, identity or eligibility. Reviews are not approved or rejected automatically based on a sentiment label. Human moderators make publication decisions.

8. Retention and deletion

The site owner can choose automatic audio removal after 30, 90, or 365 days or keep audio indefinitely. Written transcripts may remain after audio removal. Review text and metadata remain until removed through moderation or privacy tools. Uninstalling normally retains the review database, avoiding accidental data loss. Administrators may explicitly enable permanent review-data deletion upon uninstall under Settings & Privacy; this cannot be undone without a backup. The plugin-created WordPress pages are not automatically deleted. Copies in backups may remain under the host's backup lifecycle.

9. Your privacy choices

You may choose text-only review submission, stop recording before submission, and ask the website administrator to access, correct or remove information associated with your review. WordPress's built-in personal-data export and erasure mechanisms support requests associated with a review email address; other website systems may require separate actions. Rights and exceptions depend on applicable law.

10. Accessibility

A text review alternative is provided, and recording controls are intended to work with keyboards and assistive technology. An accessible transcript is required before approval. Lite staff cannot verify audio by listening in their back office, so only approve when the supplied text gives a sufficient basis for your decision. Moderators are encouraged to provide an accurate transcript before publication so visitors who cannot hear audio can understand each review. If you encounter an accessibility barrier, contact the website owner.

11. Third-party services and purchases

This recorder does not process payments. If this website separately uses hosting, email delivery, analytics, ecommerce or customer support providers, those practices must be covered by the website's broader privacy policy. Pro and Business plugin sales, if offered, are managed through separate services.

This notice may be updated as features or processing practices change. Use the contact email shown at the bottom of this page to ask a question or request deletion. The site owner is responsible for identifying their applicable privacy controller details and reviewing this policy for local requirements.
